Angel Cheng received her bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language and Literature from National Sun Yat-Sen University 中山大學. At that time, her career goal was to work at bank, so she choose to study IMES to strengthen her economics and finance backgrounds. During the studying period of IMES, she was an intern at IBM, AIT, and Voicetube. After receiving her master’s degree, she immediately got the job offer as a management associate (MA) at Fubon Bank.

Billy Huang 黃孟平 received his bachelor’s degree in Public Finance from National Chengchi University. While he studied at IMES, he went to Bangkok University of Thailand as an exchange student. After receiving his master’s degree, he became a Management Associate (MA) at E. Sun Commercial Bank 玉山銀行

Tommy Pei-Yuan Chao 趙培源 graduated from the department of Public Finance at National Chengchi University. When he studied at IMES, he spent his second year to be an exchange student in both Europe and China. In the first semester, he studied at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in Sweden. He joined the basketball club at SSE because he was into basketball in his college life. He then went to Shanghai Jiao Tong university in the second semester. Exchange experiences in these two different countries helped him become independent, mature, and open-minded. After receiving his master’s degree, he entered the state-owned enterprise Taiwan Sugar Company 台糖 and then moved to another state-owned company China Petroleum Corporate (CPC) 中油 later.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Public Finance from National Chengchi University, Lin-Yu Cheng 鄭林譽 was admitted to the IMES program in 2016. He totally spent six years at NCCU. After receiving his master’s degree, he became the management associate (MA) for Mega International Commercial Bank 兆豐銀行. He recently moved to New York City to work at the New York branch of Mega Bank.

Carlos Benavides 貝君傑 is originally from Dominican Republic. He received Taiwan’s MOFA scholarship to study Chinese (1 year) and IMES (2 years) in Taiwan. The reason for him to choose IMES of NCCU was because he would like to specialize in a field relating to data analysis, and IMES is strong in the training of data analysis. He had a memorable time at IMES because he interacted with many international students who had exceptional backgrounds. He is now working as a sales deputy manager at a well-known pharmaceutical logistics company based in Taiwan.

Maximilian zur Muehlen received his bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Cologne University of Applied Sciences (TH Köln). Being interested in the mechanism behind economics and data analysis, he chose to study at IMES. During his studies at IMES, he spent an exchange semester at Thammasat University in Thailand. After receiving his master’s degree, he got a job offer from a Medical Manufacturer in Shenzhen, China. He is in his 5th year working for this company and is involved in business strategy & decision making.

Sam Chang 張哲旭 joined IMES right after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Economics from National Chengchi University. Prior to college, Sam studied at Bangkok’s international school because his parents did business in Thailand. Because of this special experience, Sam can speak fluent English. Sam enjoyed his graduate student life at IMES. He met many good friends and his other half. In order to strengthen his global mobility capability, he went to UK to pursue another master’s degree at University of Bristol. After finishing two graduate studies, he became a management associate (MA) at Taishin International Bank. Recently, he moved to Hong Kong  to work at HK branch of Taishin Bank.

Julio Linares spent six years at National Chengchi University. He received bachelor’s degree in Economics and master’s degree in Applied Economics and Social Development. His main interest of research at that time was related to basic income. In order to conduct more researches on basic income, he pursued another master’s degree at London School of Economics (LSE). After obtaining two master’s degrees, he moved to Berlin to serve as a cofounder of a startup company named CirclesUBI. The company provides a basic income on blockchain.
