Admission Requirements

If you are considering the International Master’s Program of Applied Economics and Social Development (IMES) as your choice for master studies, we are sure you won’t be disappointed. International Students

The IMES program has a quota of 20 spaces for international students. Admission into the program is based on the review of the following materials:

  1. Personal Information Form and IMES Personal Statement
  2. Two letters of recommendation (2 different referees).
  3. Photocopy of TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS scores within 2 years or other proof of English proficiency (for non-native speakers).
  4. Others: Personal honors or other records of awards. (optional)

International applicants may pay attention to the information on the NCCU Admission website.

Taiwan Local Students

The IMES program has a quota of 7 spaces for local Taiwan students. Admission into the program is based 50% on the review of the following materials:

  1. Personal Information Form and IMES Personal Statement
  2. One letter of recommendation.
  3. Photocopy of TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS scores within 2 years or other proof of English proficiency
  4. Others: Personal honors or other records of awards. (optional)

The remaining 50% of the admission decision is based on an interview:

  • Time, date, and place for the interview will be published on the website 3 days before the interview. Candidates should check the website regularly for updates to the interview details.
