IMES program places a special emphasis on the combination of theory and practice. As part of NCCU’s College of Social Sciences, IMES utilizes the talent of accomplished English speaking faculty to enhance the program’s educational goals. As a top university in Asia, NCCU also offers enrichment groups and activities to enhance student’s understanding of Taiwan’s history and culture.
IMES students are required to complete a minimum of 33 credit hours of graduate course work, including 9 credits for required courses and 24 credits for elective courses. The majority of IMES courses focus on tools of economic analysis as well as the discussions of public policies and social development in Taiwan. Also, IMES offers four major areas of specialization. Finally, all students must complete a thesis in their final year.
